29th sounds good. There are lots of nice places to eat, I'm thinking Charburger in Cascade Locks, or if we go a bit further to Hood River there's always the brewery. I work on a route.

So August is a little more than half over and I have been driving a swapped car for over a month now I think. Are we going to get a drive planned or what? ▲▲▲ That drive looks like a lot of fun, we could just do that!sigpice30 Sold long ago - Too many BMWs since then... For now 2006 M5Comment

Scappose-Vernonia Highway in either direction, for all of the PDX'ers who view this, it is a must drive! Be careful through Vernonia as the cops out there don't have much to do and the speed limits are low.
ps, The pass is also very dangerous I've seen alot of accidents, roll overs, and other issues over the years on that road, fun but dangerous be careful. To get to McNamee you have to turn off the pass onto Skyline road East Bound continue for about a mile or so and you will see it on your left.Last edited by JMil86; 08-21-2009, 06:44 PM.

non pnw related, but hwy 1 going through the california coast off hwy 101 is just fucken amazing more hairpins and 10mph turns than you could imagine, and big elevation changes. South of hwy 1 is hwy 128 going through wine country its faster and more flow than hwy 1, but there is plenty of really nice S curves and hair pins thrown into the mix as well. Some of the best roads i've ever driven.Comment
