APTYP - what car will you be racing? This is our first Chump race. I"m sure we will end up with a 1000 laps. I think the first Lemons race we got a few hundred as well.

Can't wait - we have to figure out how to mount our headlights..

Saw a flat-black e30 coupe yesterday afternoon on Market Street just down from Gordon in Wilmington, NC - sounded boosted.

I was in a schwarz 325e, just coming from NC safety inspection so I could get it plated ;)

One of the mechanics at the German Speed Merchant has a flat black e30 - can't remember what exactly he is running - very built

If you ever need help with your 30 - I'm in Hampstead - got a shop fully of bmw parts and years of experience wrenching on them..

Porschelou - y'all's LeMons car is awesome!

I honestly bought my e30 as a platform to learn as much as I could, so I very much appreciate the offer for help. Right now I'm tracking down a storage unit for working on it - I already got us in trouble w/ our HOA for replacing a control arm in the carport :)

Saw a sweet e30 in Wilmington this morning, again near the intersection of Market and Gordon Rd. Lowered, rot, black wheels w/ silver lips, no tint.

Hello, I have a E30 that I have had for almost a year now. I have done a lot of work to it and would like to compare what I have done to what you have done. I live in Raliegh, NC. Is anyone interested?

                          Hi Matthugie,
I have done both. When I bought the car it was not in running condition, it originally had a '84 325E engine in it but I installed a '87 325I engine which required me to have to rewire the fuse box. I have lowered the car and replaced all of the suspension parts, installed angel eye headlights changed out the tail lights. I also did a bumper tuck. As for the '84 engine I plan to rebuild it but not to stock specs. I have done all of this and a few other things and am looking to compare and maybe get additional thoughts and ideas.

                            318aye,
That sounds good. I am near Wake Med hospital. You?

That's a pretty good list. If you're going to build the original eta motor I would suggest doing the i head swap. There is tons of info on the forum about it if you search. The other option sticking with the m20 is going turbo, and there again is tons of info about that on here as well.

Almost everyone here has put a lot of work into their cars, but if you want a comparison these guys are local to you and have some of the cleanest cars around.
