        I actually uncovered very similar damage to my subframe on one side when I pulled my M42, thought I must of been special. It's pretty scary to think that the engine was just kinda sitting there not really attached to anything.

              I typically do the engine mount gussets underneath as opposed to on top. Love this project- it's going to be a fun car!

                Thanks. I normally weld them underneath too but for this car i plan on welding them on top to raise the motor up a little bit. The m42 oil pan hangs so low.

                    Had my buddy brandon Romeo weld the gussets on the subframe.
                    All tig welded together
