I was planning on getting new wheels and tires, but I don't drive it anymore so it hasn't happened.
Im just getting my e30 up and running. But im running inexpensive tires that i love. Kumho solis kh16. They are about 50 a piece. When my e30 was auto-x, drifted, daily driven, street raced. Those tires took the abuse and was pretty decent in the rain and snow. With all the driving abuse I did to her, I bought a new set once a year, but 220.00 ish is not bad considering 16, 17s and up might run you 200 a pop. I run 195/60/14 on stock weaves.

Well I went to the Pull-A-Part today and tried to take the trailing arm off with no luck. It was very rusted and I couldn't even get the bolts to budge after I got the nut off.
There was a guy there looking at the E30 who said that if I take it to a body shop they can just put it on an alignment rack and bend the trailing arm back into alignment. That would be good enough for me. Is he talking out of his ass or can the shop just fix it for me? I know there's no rear adjustment on E30s so once it's bent back that's the end of it, right?

If I were to get the part from somewhere, could I have a shop install it without much trouble?

Good luck bending that arm back to where everything used to be...
Try to source a good used one instead .

Yeah I go to PBIR once in a while. Can't afford track days and they don't do autocross though. Haven't been to the drag strip since my swap.

Get this and select that you dont have a core:
BMW REAR SUBFRAME CAMBER AND TOE CORRECTION BRACKETS The stock E30, E21, E28, E32, and E34 rear subframes do not allow you to align the rear wheels. Alignment is a critical point in spec E30 as well as any track, autocross, or spiritedly driven car. Adjusting your camber and toe is also a must when lowering your car.
And two fresh trailing arms, then you're set.Your resource to do-it-yourself and interesting bmw and e30 stuff: www.rtsauto.com

I'd rather not spend $500 on top of the arms. I don't really need the adjustment since I don't plan on slamming my car or anything. Would I be okay just taking the subframe off of the car at the junkyard or even just on ebay for like $150?

You cant eyeball if your subframe is straight.
If the cost is too high, source a clean subframe from the junkyard or someone on this forum. Shouldnt cost more then $100-150.
