FOR SALE (RI): S50 swapped 318i - tons of extras, 3 sets of wheels - SOLD!! SOLD!!

SOLD!! SOLD!! SOLD!! SOLD!! SOLD!! SOLD!! SOLD!! SOLD!! SOLD!! SOLD!!

Just to get it out of the way, the highlight of this car is not its body. This car was built as a second car, performance in mind. It wasn't supposed to be my daily driver, but then life situations presented themselves and it was my only form of transportation. It's not the prettiest cosmetically, but all the suspension, brakes and motor have been updated. Comes with 3 sets of wheels(oem 5 and 7 series) two of them wrapped in tread. One set with T1-R's with less than 3000 miles on them. A set of snows that is seeing its first season starting two months ago.

Lets cut to the chase....here is what $7001.69 gives you:

    The Bad:
    - yes this car has developed rust since I had left last year for Germany
    - Battery tray is developing a hole in the far corner
    - Needs new driver side fender
    - Rust on the sheetmetal of passenger rear fender
-needs a new iS Lip, it was damaged when being loaded on a flatbed

    CLOSING NOTES:
Please, i'd appreciate fewer sarcastic remarks or unfair lowballing. I think the price is fair considering the response I've received from private offers at a time when I wasnt ready to sell. I feel that the extras aid in offsetting the shortcomings of the car....for God's sake, 3 sets of wheels + iS Sideskirts + Smileys. I've been as honest as I possibly can about this car. If you have any questions, come check the car out for yourself or feel free to ask. Build thread in sig. $7000 FIRM (or more if you are willing?), will not split. I want everything gone at once.

A bill of sale will be drafted, and I would prefer to get it notarized at a bank upon the deposit of a cashiers check or a ridiculous amount of cash. Have a friend come along as a witness, and for their signature. No shenanigans.

i'm still a bit new to the whole e30 thing, so my justification of value is greatly influenced by the amount of effort and new curse words I invented while putting it together.

I just want to be fair, I don't want to put it up on some pedastle claiming it's the best thing since sliced bread because it needs some body work for those purists out there. But it runs and handles well, which was what was important to me.

I don't know what to ask realistically, anyones suggestion would be valued.

Cons I can spit off the top of my head:
It has rust, but no rot
It needs a power steering line (a bit leaky)
        no radio
        no rear speakers
        Fuel door is zinnoberrot lol
        comfort seats (although not ripped)
cracked dash (pretty normal at this point)
Only passenger side ebrake functions, cable is stuck on dr.side. I'll try to extract it when I get 'home'

        Pro:
I have a binder of all documents on the car from what I have done as well as recipts and papers from previous owner (Zoso on other forums)
VANOS rebuilt by FredK just before I left last year
comes with 3 sets of wheels, 2 sets of tires, one summer, one winter
the motor is in top shape as it was well maintained by previous owner (FredK)
TC Kline Dual Adjustable front struts
        All brake hardlines were replaced
        Racing Dynamics rear spoiler
        13 button OBC
        Bosch Euro Smileys
3 wheels lift when jacking it from one corner and passes door/jack test
        NRG Quick release hub
        Custom shifter + UUC ERK
There are brand new bushings everywhere
        Limited Slip Diff

I drove this car for about 10 days. It never saw the road during winter during my ownership (even though I had winter tires ready for it)

I'd pay 5 for it if no rust but you can probably get more than that if you wait it out...
In a rush sale 4-5 all day. I may be way off but that is my price.

Thanks for the input. Basically if I can't break close to even, i might not list it.

A swap's worth is purely subjective. To me, coming from a tired M42, it was well worth it. It was faster than my [ex]girlfriends stage 2 WRX swapped GC Impreza. There are those who will obviously want more.

To me it was well rounded, and just enough to get in trouble.

I read your build thread a while ago, you put a lot of work into the car. I hope you get to keep or, or that it does to a good home.

I wish I had the $ or an idea of what the right amount to ask for it would be. It looks like a very well sorted car.

i am thinking 7ish also... take some 10-15 hi res pics of everything and you should be golden... selling an s50 e30 is one thing, but selling one with hi res pics is a whole new ball game... i have sold cars in a matter of hours with the right pictures... 1000words is no joke...you will sell that car no problem..

good luck, sorry to hear about your situation
