    FS: 1988 BMW E30 325iX - 5 Speed Manual - SOLD!

Hello E30 fans! Today I have something that I think is pretty special up for sale. This is a rare AWD E30 which came from the factory with a Getrag manual transmission. This is an original California car (with the exception of a couple of years spent in Texas) and it is completely rust free. Clean California title in hand with a current Smog test and current registration. Same owner for the past 16 years.

This car has 220k on the clock and the patina to match. Clearly it's in need of paint work but it's certainly a fantastic base for a restoration, should that interest you. It's also a great car as is! I do not believe this car has had any previous paint or body work in its lifetime. This car has served many years as a daily driver and has been maintained properly by the professionals at BimmerHeads. Many trips from California to Texas and back have been successfully completed in this E30.

Before being listed for sale, all necessary maintenance items have been recently taken care of by BimmerHeads in February 2024. This work includes: timing belt, timing belt tensioner, water pump, accessory belts, spark plugs, breather hose, ICV hose, fuel lines, exhaust manifold gaskets, valve adjustment, brake booster grommet, master cylinder grommets, exhaust hangers, coolant flush, engine oil change, transmission fluid, transfer case fluid, front differential fluid, rear differential fluid, and brake fluid. All fluids are high quality Motul. Other items replaced during this service were: windshield, dome lights, shifter boot, hood release cable, and wiper blades. In other words, she's ready to log some more miles!

    Asking $10,900. SOLD!!!

All that maintenance worth a pretty penny. I'm wondering about those comfort seats. I thought all the 1988 models came tricked out with sport seats, electric sun roof, etc?

          Thanks guys!

I should also mention that it does have working A/C.

I believe the seats have been swapped out at some point.

gr8skyr is right, all US sold1988 325ix should come 2dr, manual, fulll m-sport interior. So, the original seats are missing. Still, very interesting car!

E30s came from a time we didn’t have to put M in front of everything…

Exciting example because I had a 88 DS IX. Bummer about the seats, most were gray interiors. The Tan actually looks alright in a DS car..

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

Luckily an interior swap is pretty simple! Paint and sport seats would transform this E30.

The most important part is the rust-free foundation though. ;)

Even the 325ix cars we've serviced here in California aren't this solid.

Paint, proper sport seats, wheel centers, etc. it’s all cosmetic and easily corrected and will make this one hell of a classic bummer!

If you replace the passenger side front bumper strip and hit all the plastic trim pieces with a couple coats of gyeon ceramic trim coating, i think it will be alot easier to sell this car. its less than $100 and an hour or 2 of time that will surely add value when people come to see the car.

Appreciate the tip but I'm pretty familiar with the E30 market. I've been here for a while. ;) The person who will be purchasing this car is not worried about the trim coating. They're worried about it having no rust holes in it.
