Attention, I'm looking to increase some inventory. Anyone needing a fresh SI board? I'm looking to trade for several cores with dead batteries. PM me to discuss.

I have this SI board from my 87 eta:

Everything in my cluster works except for the tach and econometer.

The batteries on the board measure 2.7 volts. Time to replace?

Yes, the running voltage of each battery should be a minimum of 3 volts DC. They are over 20 years old.

Hey my odo stopped working due to broken gears. Replaced the gears and it worked for little while and then stopped again. Maybe a reflow would fix this? If not what else could be done?

If the speedometer continues to work the whole time, the assembly is getting vehicle speed signal. It could be a broken solder joint. I am currently in the middle of figuring out why people are having odometer problems even after gears are replaced.

I suggest close inspection of the solder joints for cracks or breaks in traces.

I'm looking to give out healthy discounts for partial or full trade for multiple SI board cores. Lithium (small battery) type only.

PM me if you have some for sale or partial/full trade. Willing to trade for any services, cluster repair, odometer repair, SI board batteries, ECM inspection, anything.

Check to make sure your gears are all turning together. When mine starting acting up after I replaced the gears, I took it apart again and 2 of the gears consists of a big gear with a smaller gear inserted and they pretty much "lock" together. When I checked mine the big one would spin but the little one wouldn't. I superglued where they joined and let them dry and installed. Havnt had a problem since. I'd Probly recomend something more durable than superglue. I used it because it was laying around and I didn't feel like going to my toolbox. Not saying that's it but it wouldn't hurt to check.
