I'm in for one if I don't have to wait months to get it.

I’m pulling my bushings this fall and would love a tool. I rented a tool on r3vlimited a few years ago but now I’m going to poly rear. We need the tool 😊

Great news. I rent the 3026 and always get scared, when parts break, I won't be able to source a new tool. This is a great alternative as long as he keeps making it.

with how large the top piece is, how are you doing that job in the car? seems like it would be quite difficult.

I believe this ebay tool is for doing the job with the subframe removed from the car.
                            nick.cbr can you confirm?

It says so in the description.
To remove the factory bushings you will have to fully remove rear subframe. Removal of the bushings without the use of this tool would be extremely difficult as there is no real area to push against the subframe except for the two narrow edges of the subframe exposed thru notches molded into the bushing. Once bushings are removed you can use tool to install OEM M3 bushings, aftermarket Delrin, UHMW, Urethane, even solid Aluminum bushings. Make sure the slot in the side of the new bushings align with the raised dimples in the subframe. See pictures for details/ instructions.
But I don't understand why you really need to put the large tube above the subframe in the last step.
You can probably use a jack to push the bushing in.

                                OEM M3 bushings

I did not know M3s had different subframe bushings than non-M3. Are they interchangeable?
