I think that instinctively saying, it not quite true. On any car I've ever owned, being able to crack the window to what ever little bit I wanted to is kinda important.

This is a good first start! But not really complete, or 100% functional, since there are better options out there.

Theoretically, the window should work the same way as stock if you learn how long the switch needs to be held down to achieve the desired gap without making the window go into 1 touch mode. Besides, what's the big deal between 1/4" and let's say 1/2"?

While I agree, it needs to be enclosed/wrapped, this is very close to perfect. I'd say it's the best option for E30 owners with stock switches. 100% plug and play, takes up very little space and zero wiring or rewiring. The price is fair as well. I have installed aftermarket units with about 15 wire connections x 2 for 4 windows. So I can appreciate the simplicity of this product. PnP means you can move them from car to car with little effort should you sell or wreck the car.

I forgot to ask...is there a current limiter that stops the window motors once the window is fully open/closed or there's an obstruction?

Actually it is the other way around. You need to hold the switch a little longer for it to skip the one touch function. So a press and hold will start the window moving (after a short delay). Then it is up to your reflexes to release the switch. The faster you are the smaller the opening will be. :)

Thank you for appreciating the work done.
As said, we are looking into a way to make it more water-proof.

Yes there is. It stops the motors if the current exceeds a certain value.

A batch means we know in advance the number sets needed and it just makes it much much easier for us to plan the time to order, assemble and test a bunch of the same modules.

In short it makes our lives easier and leaves more time to R&D other modules.
You can, of course, order through our website also. :)
This is pretty awesome of you guys to do. Cool stuff.

Sorry, can't give you a discount for small orders.
We can talk about discounts for orders of 10 pairs (or 10 pieces of other modules, or a combination of modules) through PM.

It may take us a while to make the PCBs, assemble and test finished modules.
                    Please be patient.
To be fair to everyone, we will start collecting payments and sending the modules as soon as we finish making/testing the whole batch. Should take us about 3 weeks.

It would be really cool if you made a set compatible with the popular e36 switch conversion! though I suppose you could splice in this unit between the original e30 wiring and the e36 pigtail no?

Of course, we can open a second batch. I'm sure there will be enough interest for at least 10 orders.
But we will only start working on it after we finish the first batch. Thanks for understanding.

We are working on a add-on module, that will be able to open all windows with a master switch. One-touch modules from all four windows will connect to this module. The windows will open according to factory instructions for convertibles.
