M8x30 Saucer Head Bolt for PS Pump

Apparently these are no longer available. I have looked in the used market with no luck, except for very expensive options. They are basically a m8x30 carriage bolt but BMW calls them a saucer head bolt. I know many people ditch their power steering, so I hope someone has one lying around.

This bolt is the one that gets the 'geared' adjustment nut and lock nut on it for tensioning the PS pump belt. Local hardware stores don't have metric carriage bolts.

Another option if no one has one.

M8x50 for the alternator is still available. You can cut new threads with a die and trim the extra length.

Also....sent you a link to bolt depot.

Belmetric has it. Though, it doesn't have a yellow-zinc version like the original.

Bel-Metric sells metric hardware & specialty automotive supplies nationwide. Visit our website to purchase metric fasteners, nuts, bolts, Time-Sert kits & more.

McMaster has them in Yellow Zinc, but you need to buy a pack of 50 for $12.27.

Thanks everyone. I was aware that that nice zinc ones could be sourced but was just hoping someone had some PS scraps lying around. Guess I'm forced into ordering online. Oh well. I guess I cam sell a few cheap to others that might need them.

Well since I really don't have an option here, I went ahead and ordered a bunch from McMaster. I'll list them in the for sale section when they arrive and provide pictures.
