Looking for an AC Compressor part # 64528385712 for 1989 325ix Coupe Automatic.

    Hello
Turns out I need to replace my AC Compressor. If anyone has one for sale or any leads it would be appreciated. Looking for an AC Compressor part # 64528385712 for 89 325ix Coupe Automatic.
Prefer new old stock or remanufactured (wishful thinking)
    or
    Really Clean/Good Used unit
    Or
If anyone has any leads where I can have my unit rebuilt (my unit probably lacked oil thus has overheated and the clutch plate is seized)

    Post here or PM me.

    Thank you

Plug-and-play air conditioning for your vintage BMW, Porsche, and more. Designed by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.

They should be releasing the 325ix conversion kit next month. I would highly recommend this.

Having personally wasted hundreds of dollars and many hours of time on so-called remanufactured Nippondenso 10p15e compressors for my 1990 325i, I highly recommend scrapping your current seized compressor for a brand new Sanden. You will need a new adapter bracket, two re-done hoses and a new fan belt. It works.

Poor LC Wylie. They just copied his kit and marketed it better lol

            Hi All,,

Thank you for taking the time to reply, the info is very much appreciated. At this point (not that I want or like to spend extra money) the dollars to convert don't scare me off, I just want all the systems on my car especially the AC to work correctly. The AC looks to be the last item on my IX so I'm at the mindset of "what ever it takes to finish". It's been almost 7 years since I took on the restoration.... My only concern is th lack of space in my engine compartment due to the Dinan Turbo setup. The Sanden Compressor and bracket would need to fit exactly in the same space the factory unit sits, there is no extra clearances.

            Looks like
LC Wylie uses the 709 Sanden compressor but states on the website to contact them if is from an ix E30.
AC Solutions is using the Sanden 508 compressor, unless they switch to the 709 unit once the official ix kit is released.

I'll be contacting both tomorrow to see what the options are. If I go the modern updated route I'd go with the complete kit.

            Again Thank you

Scammers, glad you are wasting your pathetic time contacting me via PM with AC compressors for sale.

It’s unfortunate and a shame how many scam artists there are out there. I have gotten several PM’s/Emails from newly created accounts suggesting I contact person X via email for a compressor for sale.

Everyone should be very cautious, not transact outside of the forum, follow the guidelines, verifying sellers, do your due diligence before transacting.

Jay Stratton in Santa Ana California rebuilds existing E30 compressors. He is an artist at it. I highly recommend him.

Thanks for the info, I am familiar with Jay and his reputation for turning out quality products. Jay will have my business anytime I need something rebuilt on my cars. Unfortunately, it was my understanding that if the compressor is seized it is not rebuildable, at least not by him. I don’t recall if I read that in his site, someplace else or if he advised directly. Either way, I committed to going the LC Wylie route. He was very helpful in going through everything with me plus uses the 700 series Sanden. Hope to receive my kit soon.

                  Thanks again,

I have the Wylie bracket and r-134a compressor. I don't remember what model off the top of my head. I had the bracket zinc plated gold to match the other engine bay stuff. I will be getting rid of the compressor, bracket and belt if your interested. I will keep the hoses to have them remade for my swap project. Here are some pics right after install, but before I had hoses adapted to fit. I can post a picture of those later, if you want.
