But just to let you know, Dave returned the nonM pre-87 and got a correctly fitting one.

Anyway, let me know, get me one that fits a post-91 cabrio.

    Thanks.
actually i dont know if this will help but i have daves old skid plate on my 87.
mtriple has the exact skid plate (pre 87) on his white 89 s50 car. so they fit where they are not suppose to. i know this for fact because i got mine from dave after it wouldnt fit his cabrio and mtriple got his from me. and i compared them. they are exact. point being, a pre 87 will go on a post 87+ non cabrio just fine

But will a post 87 one fit a pre 87 one is my question? I have 2 pictures, comparing the ones BMW used to make, and the post 87 one looks so much nicer!

So that goes on late model cars? I'm confused as to which is for late model E30's...but I'm pretty sure the one linked is for EARLY model cars. Not later ones.

and please, don't link to ebay...for other peoples sake.
            Reminiscing...

I have been unable to get a good unit and have decided to sell the car so I won't be able to help.

On a side note did someone from here get the one that was on ebay> 117.50 is a good price.

The guy had many on Ebay. All of them went for about $70 except for the one posted. I would have picked one up if I had the money.
