I paid $65 each for the re-valve. I only did this because i picked up a pair of used ones for cheap. Its probably not worth doing it to a new pair now that Koni offers the SA inserts for the IX again. I'm a Bilstein guy. Never had any problems with Bilsteins and most of my friends have not had any problems. I don't have any first hand experience with Koni but my friends have and several of them had to send them in to be rebuilt. I would never buy a used Koni because the cost of a re-valve/rebuild is double the cost of Bilstein. Get them new for the warranty. I passed on a pair of Konis for $60 because they wanted over $100 per strut plus parts for a rebuild.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

FYI, Bilstein is now over $100 for a rebuild as well. Price went up in late 2012, IIRC. I called them a few months ago to get a quote for rebuilding/revalving my ix HD's. It was cheaper for me to sell the HD's and buy the Koni's, which are already valved very nicely for a 450lb spring. In addition, the wait time is currently something like 4-6 months for the Bilsteins.
I'm a Bilstein guy myself, having put over 300k miles on a set of normal e30 Sports. But I think the Koni's are hard to beat as an off-the-shelf, readily available, ideally valved, drop-in solution for your coilover setup.
BTW, I've put over 12k miles on your coilover setup on my m60 e30. Tons of very rough roads on my daily commute, some fun back road driving, and some drag racing. I have zero complaints, they are awesome.
