    It's for a OBD1 24v swap. M50/M52/S50/S52.

Should also work on OBD2 cars with the pigtail. Granted pinouts will be different.

Well, I knew that haha. Let me rephrase the question, where does this go? Does it connect to the circular plug on the firewall?

Do I need to know what engine I'm going to swap first?

I have a 318is, and will be doing a swap down the road, but not sure what engine yet. Sorry for noob question...

Edit: I realize this is for M50/M52 S50/S52 swaps... I just haven't decided on an engine yet...

Wish this would have been around before I bought Gregslow's adapter. Would have saved me a whole lot of headache.

I took one of those adapter apart. Yikes!

Pin 20 was grounded which can cause a fire on airbag cars..

 I currently don't have an engine harness for my car, so could I make a payment when you're ready to make the adapters, and just have you hold it until I locate a harness? I don't know how much the wiring varied between years on OBD2 cars. Alternatively if you have a OBD2 harness from a manual car I may be interested in it too.
