        yea but i dont want to put a sub box in my trunk and i believe i read in another one of your posts that the open air subs are crap. the only thing that tickles my fancy is cutting a hole in the rear deck and fabricating it enough so i can put a sub there. maybe i'll just throw a sub in the glove box and forget about it.

          bumping this because I would sorta like to see it happen...

          I used the harness (Metra) from installer.com it was their part # (71-8590 BMW) for my C43 cassette install; it should work with the CD43 also.

          looks sorta like this

                  This is a great question. I need to tak to DICE electronics to see if there are any other means of inputs for their adapter. I would love to have a hard connection between my Sirius and headunit.

                          That is correct.

                          Right now I have an issue with the DICE links and am looking into the possibilities of making a custom hookup with all original BMW connections and wires so we can run these for all vehicles. Right now DICE only offers support to vehicles with factory CD changers. I should have this sorted tomorrow and I will use my car tomorrow as the test mule.

                            How does this thing work with both E30s and E36s?

                            As far as I can remember, the late E36s have I-bus connectors (95+) and early E36s have M-bus, which I believe were different from the E30s.

                            Not that I have any doubts that it works ,just wondering how the connectors work.

                            Thinking of getting on this deal for my E36, the radio started smoking. Not good.

                            ================ edit:

                            After further research it appears the unit does work with all E36 units but is wired for i-bus only (late 95+), meaning you cannot control any early style m-bus cd changers (92-95). And, if your car is pre 95ish and you have the old m-bus, and want to use a changer, you'll need to buy a new changer and a new i-bus wiring harness, or do horrible mods:
