50 bones isn't too bad for a powdercoated black steel knob. I'd like one with a shorter hole for the lever though... the Z4 3.0 lever with the stock knob is as low as I'd want to go.

colors means powdercoating, the more colors the more powdercoating, the more work for him, the more it will cost, it would look bad anyway in my opinion, but to each his own. Let's get the standard aluminum and steel ones done, then start asking him about custom ones.... i dont know, seems smart..Dan

re: rogue engineering:
It seems like they could easily make and sell a heavy shifter too, so they are objective enough for me. I'm going to take an hour off this afternoon and make a proto for y'all.
I just want you all to know that I will make ANYTHING that you want, I just bitch in the process. I really am pretty happy to make heavy shift knobs.

You can do whatever you want with the set screw. This is a ROUGH drawing because I don't have access to CAD software and I did it in MS Paint. No dimensions because they are up to you, but I think this shape is attractive and slender, not soo bulky.
If you like this design and decide to use it, I would be more than happy to purchase it from you in Aluminum with the 5 speed engravings on top.
Thanks, compliments and flames welcome.

Eh, I guess so. I dunno, I need a rendering to see what it could actuallly look like. I'm open to many different things, except I don't want a short stubby really spherical one.
EDIT: Or something along the lines of the stock shifter look. I do like my current one, but one made from Aluminum would kick ass. Heck, I'd prefer it over my drawing.Estoril E36 M3/4/5 | Toledo E53 X5 3.0 | LeMans E90 335D M-Sport
