Can it still be bought from BMW? If so, I can modify the pedal to accept the pad. What price?

      Let me know.

I would be interested in the m type also with rubber. Check availability and post part number up and price. Please PM when the pedal is ready :)

If someone finds the parts number but is NLA in the states send it to me and I will check at the dealership here. For the cause
I just looked and this is what I found on realoem. It looks to be NLA though. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...14&hg=51&fg=55

That's what I thought. Pad being NLA. Therefore I will not modify the design to accept a rubber pad. People can glue anti-slid tape, or spray bed liner rubber.

One version will come with holes (for grip) and weight saving, and another version will be plain.

Confirming that the M technic style DP has ben sent into production. It will NOT have provision for the rubber pad as it is NLA. Instead of aluminum, I will keep on using sturdy stainless steel. One version will be plain and will be powder coated black. The other unit will be with oval holes for better grip, and will come in plain stainless.

Parts are due in 7 to 10 days.
The first batch will 5 plain M tech style, 5 drilled M tech style, and 10 Hartge style units

What does the Hatge unit look like? I didn't see it in this thread.

The Hartge style will be used on carpeted cars. I also wish to remind everyone, that I am not copying the pedals, but using the same mounting principle. So, do not expect a copy of a Hartge or M Technic unit.

You're right. Maybe I should start a list that would be non-comittal. Then when the pedals are ready (start of next week), I could use the order of names and give the option to bail-out if wanted.

                          Okay then.

As usual, mark your name and choice (Hartge - M technic styles)

In regard of RHD cars, guys with no carpet can use the 2002/universal unit that bolts to the flat section of the firewall, and cars with carpet and the mushy foot rest can use the Hartge style. I don't think that the M technic unit will work on RHD e30s...
