The spec sheet you posted lists 91 octane, hence my mention of California, where most of our 91 octane chips are sold. This is not the first 91 octane chip for that combination we have sent out, this is the first one to have an "issue" though. (other than the usual "issues" like no start or running issues from hardware issues. Most eventually figure out how to hook up the fuel lines, vac lines, and connect wires.)
Did you try swapping the injectors or MAF (both of which you had codes for) into the other vehicle?

As a side note, copying a chip is illegal. We only need the serial number on the top to verify the tune. If the chip is suspect (which it shouldn't be unless there is a DME code) we can verify the integrity of the data here as well.Comment

Way to blatantly bash the buyer and his ability to build a engine. After he has clearly stated that the engine Ran fine with a stock chip. AND on top of that the TRM chip wouldnt run in a Well known good S50sigpicComment

I do realize the problem arose on a Saturday, So there was most likely no way TRM could deal with the problem. And i know they are/will be a bit defensive of the thread title.
But to be honest i would be raging mad and upset. Im sure tomm morning there will be a few blind sack hangers for TRM and there will be a shit storm. But from what ive read you seem very well versed with your engine/setup and the problem is simply with the chip, Which was either the wrong one or incorrectly burned.
Just because you got your chip and it works "great" doesnt mean every one is going to be perfect. There will always be a "bad egg" in the bunchsigpicComment

Please tell me what happend. I have a trm chip in my car right now and its the same specs as your car but an s52. I have noticed that the car doesnt idle very well compared to my friends e36 m3.Comment

Do you have a light flywheel, and if so, did you have them add the idle compensation that goes with the lightened flywheel? Mine idles low/rough with a standard chip (600ish rpm), but is fine with the TRM chip that is set up for the light flywheel.Comment

I also had a trm chip and my car consistently made less power than other simaler combos, that used other tuners for tune's.
I also called and talked to beret, matt and a few other people at trm about 2-3 times an lost of emails until he finally responded with this

After looking at your files, reading the email trail you sent, and talking to the guys, it seems there were changes/variations performed that were not communicated/ordered properly. It seems there has been some confusion primarily with the injectors.
All of the tunes we’ve got for you all show the use of the stock M50/S50 (green) Injectors. Your notes below show that you’ve used both the pink tops, and the green tops, yet all the tunes we’ve got show only green. Additionally, after reviewing the last dyno plot, it’s clear the cams are also not timed correctly as well. I’ve also heard that you might have a lightweight flywheel, but do not have that as part of your tune either.
I also can’t find an order from you on the old web site records, which leads me to believe you may have ordered this tune via PM. I’ve sent a note to Matt to see if he has any record of the original ‘order’ for comparison.
At this point I think its best to start over, completely. Please provide me with a very detailed list of everything you are currently running.

so clearly trm has some explaining to do but I solved my own problem pulled the motor a putting a new combo something else in their with a dinan tune

ps matt I did call the shop 3 more times and email you and brett back.
kinda hard to fix a problem when you say there isant one then berry you head in the sand and say that you cant find any info on my order....
lesson learned as it only costed me $400+ dyno time and not a motor unlike BMW_TUNER
