I have the conforti cam kit with euro hfm now I feel like the turner software needs some tweaking though . I might get a dyno tune I am also hoping for the headgasket to go so i can shave the head to minimum spec and bump some compression. Not so long ago there was a car meet locally . Skylines, Turbo E36, Supra , Modded C6 Vette you get the idea. The modded vette and I went from 3rd gear and he didnt pull any distance . My car is 2400lbs and I have an obd1 s52 with pretty much every bolt on except for pulleys.
2400lbs late model (was corner weighted?) ?! Wow, how much stuff did you remove

Easily. Valves, guides, lifters, springs, machine work, pistons, rings, rods, crank if you're going to turbo it... The head alone will probably cost at least a grand. Labor was not factored because I get paid for my labor, that's one of the perks of being a tech. :Deveryone is totally entitled to their own opinion but could you explain how you would ever get a S5x or M5x up to $5k in rebuilding costs? I rebuilt no less than 30 of these and its never costed me 1/2 that. maybe your parts are more or your paying for labor? to have a turbo'd vehicle does not mean you need a fully rebuilt motor or the greatest engine management. if done correctly and not much more than a few $k a great street machine can be built that no S5x swap could touch unless your a stop light to stop light guy.
Note, I said "the RIGHT way", not slap a new headgasket in there and call it good. My shop does mainly moderate to high-dollar restorations so I'm not in the habit of cheaping out on parts or machine work. We often end up redoing cars that have been "restored" by other shops that cheaped out and fucked things up. It makes it hard to turn a profit but at least everything that leaves our doors is a quality product that will last, we have cars that are still being driven daily 15 years after being rebuilt!'89 325is S50 Track Montser
