you don't need to but there's no reason not to - it helps fuel economy with no real detriment to performance. -

I'll see if I still have mine first. Also there's a check valve in that line with a sensor. I don't have that check valve. Will it do anything if I don't have that plugged in on my engine harness?Comment

no, it only opens when the ECU grounds it. It's to vent pressure from the fuel tank. the tank can apparently implode from suction.. although mine isn't connected to anything and it hasn't been a problem.Comment
