Anyone running an m50tu with a g240? I've heard both good and bad things about the setup. A g240 should be able to take the power, they have shorter gearing/closer ratios than a 260, and I think they're smaller/lighter.

I have a G240 on my M50 and I love it, if you get a chance to drive a 318is pay attention to how light the throws are and how nice and notchy it is

header fitment issues i ran into were the headers were ever so slightly touching the cross member. The biggest issue for me is one of the headers is touching the firewall which causes some vibration in the cabin. Not bad, but kinda annoying at times. overall the exhaust sounds quiet at idle but rips at WOT.:up:
1. Engine
S50B30 "Dinan" engine. Ported and polished with Dinan chip according to the PO. Now has 13lb Fidanza LTW fly with OBDII injectors and Turner software.
2. Engine Wiring
Wiring done by Adrian at Milt's Service Garage in Vallejo. E36 wiring harness. X20 removed and replaced with C101 connector for a factory style splice.
3. Drivetrain
Getrag 260 with White325is brace and some kind of BMW short shifter. Bent the linkage myself with oxy/acetylene torch. 3.73 LSD and stock drive shaft.
4. Shift Lever and Linkage
Stock. See above.
5. Motor Mounts
Revshift "blue" swap motor mounts.
6. Brake Booster, Master Cylinder, and External Reservoir
E21 brake booster with stock E30 master and res. Had the rod cut and welded at a local welding shop.
7. Steering System
E30 pressure line with E36 low pressure hoses cut to length. Mounts to stock E36 location on motor mount arm.
8. Cooling System
OEM Behr Z3M 3 row radiator. Bimmerworld silicone hoses. 80 degree thermostat. 16" spal pusher fan connected to 82 degree temp switch. Working A/C using custom A/C lines and R134a conversion.
9. Exhaust System
Fully custom dual pipes from headers to a 2 in 2 out Magnaflow cat to a Y pipe into 2.5" piping with a 12" resonator and a large unknown model of magnaflow muffler.
