    What guibo to buy?

    I have a 86' 325es swapped m50v and need to buy a new guibo. How do I know what guibo to buy? Its the getrag 260 trans

    im using a e36 m3 guibo, but that with a s50. pretty sure the stock e30 one will work for you, anyone else concur?

      it depends on your driveshaft/trans output shaft setup. after a certain date (86 or 87) the guibo changed sizes.
      check real oem for the part number, using the build month and year from the car the trans came from.

      iirc one has 12mm bolt holes, and the other has 10mm and they are different dizes overall.

        Use the guibo that matches your transmission.

            All depends on the manufacture date. Have a look and verify.

                I believe its 5/86 but Jack the car up and look. It's not that complicated and the only way to be absolutley sure.

                  Just get under and look as Barry said. Small guibo has m10 bolts, large has m12.

                    Large guibo cars can use e36 guibos IIRC.

                      just dont buy chinese when you figure the size out. spend the extra $20 for a Lemforder.
