did not see where the actual weights were listed to know they are the same? E30 can be anywhere 2400-3000lb which is upto 20-25% difference. this makes a huge difference to trapspeed.

My car was 2680 when I ran that 13.3@103. I'm assuming he doesn't have any significant weight reduction done or we would have mentioned it. Even if he managed to get down to 2500, that doesn't explain how my car, with a bigger and broader power and and much more traction, and a better launch, would be slower.

e30 w/ M54b30. 3.25LSD, 205 street tires. 2600 lbs.

Have you seen any of the other posts... results are all over the map with these cars. Doesn't mean everyone is full of shit. IIRC TinyT pulled a 13.0 out of an S54 E30... that should be waay quicker than MacBudd's S52 car in theory. JGood pulled a 14.4 and Justin_L managed a 13.7 out of internally stock M50s... somehow faster than some S50 cars.

Just the way it is sometimes... crap shoot.

people don't realise that ET doesnt mean much about how fast a car is. the driver, traction, setup play too much of a role to make any significant conclusions

Yes, that's why I made the post. Two cars weigh the same, but one makes less power, and somehow traps a higher speed... And the same ET, with a bad 60' and spinning vs my 1.9 with no spinning.

This isn't possible. I watched my friend run his stripped out track e30 m3 w/s52 obd1 ZF 3.25lsd with sunbelt cams and good tires run the same time(13.2) after multiple passes. No way yer on par with that setup.
Same day I ran my s50 with getrag 260 and 3.73 on good tires @14.5.

ZF w/3.25 is almost same ratio as 260 w/4.11...

13.2 at 106 in my s50 m3

2.0 60ft, couldn't launch due to 195 all season tires. Spun through 3rd

This was in the dead of summer at cecil, with better tires and cooler temps the car should have done high 12's easily.

Oddly enough the car only dyno'd 193/195, granted it hadn't been calibrated in years after hundreds of passes.

My m60 e30, making probably over 260whp/260tq, with a 1.9 60', ran a 13.28@103.5 at Maple Grove at around 70 degrees with no wheel spin (sticky 235's).

I need to go to Cecil. That's the 3rd or 4th super fast time/trap speed I've seen from there.

Cecil is slightly down hill from what I've heard. I'll look around for the slip, this was from last summer. I did spin like crazy which could account for the trap speed.

When i had my seta stroker and mark d chip i could get 91 all day, and honestly it didnt feel much faster than stock, + 5 whp maybe

I trapped 100 with my non vanos m50... I'm honestly surprised I don't see higher trap/ 1/4 times still.

What altitude are you at? With that 60'/weight/power you should see 12's and i would expect a higher trap speed. Ive seen slips with cammed s5x's that trapped 106 or even better

on my current s50 track car I haven't had a chance to drag it yet.
