I have the same setup as Hugo, but I did not ceramic coat the headers. I do get some rasp around 2500-3000 grand, other than that it is glorious.

    Order the borla from Amazon

I have an s50 with Raceland long tube to full 3" with a 24" resonator in the middle and a free flow muffler. I'm not a big fan of the sound. I wish I had more growl/throaty ball sound. If I replace my muffler with a different one would that help?

grinil, not sure if it will make a difference if you go that route and sound will always be subjective. I'm sure there are members here that don't think a Vibrant is loud enough! lol...

Regarding your concerns about sound, last i checked, the walls and tubing on a vibrant are very thin and probably lacks any perforation tubing inside the muffler which I know are factors in contributing to loud noise. That said, I'm not sure if adding an additional resonator would make a difference.

I mean the only reason why OEM exhaust systems are so quiet are the thicker casting material in the pipping that pretty much suppresses the exhaust sounds.

That Borla was $97 from Amazon.

Sorry guys, no exhaust clips right now, I'm trying to line up a friend with decent sound/video equipment to get a good clip.

I might go with the two mufflers inline also. Maybe two magnaflows.

what free flow muffler? You can get a "muscle-car" sound with a smaller resonator and straight-through muffler (ex, magnaflow)

but, it's going to be pretty loud.

Don't do another muffler, just add a vibrant ultraquiet resonator. I have 3" piping, ultraquiet and the stealthpower. It's loud as shit, but its deep and not that raspy. Only a little rasp up real high in the RPM. With your cat and the resonator I'm sure you'd be gold.
