But this is after a little bit of the penut grinder as you can see on the left and then some sanding and rubbing compund.

Pull back the rubber boot and see what colors the wires are. No two connectors have the same wire colors.

The 2nd to last pic, that just goes to the large lug on the starter. You should use the E30 power cable though. It has the proper termination for the E30 power cable on the passenger side of the car. Otherwise you'll have to crimp a large power connector onto the E36 power cable.
