well, its on stand by for now, my wife's car had a problem. 1983 528e was leaking coolant into the oil, had to have the head shaved. hopefully i will get this thing going. all i need is the brake booster and i should have about everthing needed

Well im back at it..... Engine had a lot of sludge, was pretty nasty!

got my oil pan on, resealing most of the motor. My euro mechanic buddy who is helping me painted my cam cover wrinkle black. Turned out really nice, the little imperfections on it are from the shitty materials that bmw chose to use on it.

i dont know where to install the motor arm mounts. is it the front 4 or rear 4 holes?

im really happy that its going together and ill be having A LOT more questions coming soon.

You don't NEED it, because the e34 dipstick is attached to this huge bracket with some hose fittings on it.

You can just cut a small piece of sheetmetal and attach it to the manifold bracket.

Yah I like what you did with that valve cover. How did you do that, im having troble with mine. The paint is not sticking at all, ive tryed sanding, grinding with a peanut grinder, and self etching paint and nuthing will even stick, so i just gound it down buffed and aluminum polished mine looks ok bout would rather paint it like that that look fuckin tight like what you have done with it.

the problem is that BMW used SHIT material. its got alot of magnesium or something, so paint doesnt like sticking to it. i cleaned , let it and sand blasted mine really good then used VHT black wrinkle paint.

hmm where did you get this paint is it at like a hardwere store or would it be at like an Autozone or somthing like that...
IDK but what ever it is it looks good ill try to get some decnt pic of mine i just pholished the shit outa mine, you can pretty much see your refection in it kinda like a miror.
