Lol, so true ....I hope not 5k. Still need a flywheel (someone mentioned fidanza flywheels, any good?) clutch (will buy an oem e36 clutch kit) and e36 5spd tranny.

Thanks! I'll give them a call or check if IPB (closer to me) can do this as well.

If you want a good lightweight flywheel, check out JB Racing.

I'm sure they could. I've heard they are a good shop but I'm not familiar with them.
I can walk you through the smog referee process as well. I did it for my e30 and it was pretty easy as long as you take some precautions.

second that. Have had JBRacing in both my e30's for at least 5 years now without any issue. Love them, best mod you can do while the engine is out of your car for any car

Hm, I think they ARE conical.

For the M52, the ETK shows PN 11347504268 for the spring and 11341432453 for the top plate. The top plate is the same as the S50US and S52, but the spring and bottom plate are different part numbers.

                    PN 11347504268 looks like this:

but it different that the S50/52 valve spring PN 11341403709

I think the first thing you need to decide is OBD1 or OBD2. Can't remember if you had mentioned it before.
