On a more constructive note, I still don't see how a m12x1.5 "die" would fit over a m14x1.5 bolt/sensor... Is it possible? Wouldn't you need substantial amount of force to even start the die?

A 12mm die will not fit over a 14mm thread. It will have to be turned down.

A lot of dies can be adjusted to fit, then you just run it over a few times

nah, he's just easy to get all worked up, makes for a good time, I'll leave the thread alone.

Good luck, it's coming along nicely! I'll be stuck with my ol' M20 for years to come!

While it is die (my dad was a machinist for almost 20 years), I dont see the need for this back and forth and constant attacking of each other.

I know this is r3v, but seriously guys, chill the fuck out.

Based on more research it seems that Die should be the right one. Don't know why my local store spells it as Dye and why other sites use Dye.

Very legit looking site. I'm guessing some fail ass high school teacher wrote it.

From where I've gotten my tools from AAA Tools which carry practically everything and is a local small shop that's been around for a long time they go by dye.

    For Kilotard.

And since youve done it so many times, you obviously didnt learn the concept in school. Its 'you're' not 'your'. And 'die' not 'dye'.

    2) Die = death ; Dye = rethreading tool

    3) If you were giving me constructive criticism than you should have refrained from using "stop being a cheap ass" phrase.

    4) I apologize for not seeing the good out of your comment but you have to see you came at me at the wrong angle therefore I give as I receive.

    5) I was calling Kilo an ignorant moron, not you.

With everything aside, is it even possible using a 12x1.5 dye on a 14x1.5 thread? Wouldn't that need a lot of force to get it even just to start? And would you need to shave the 14mm down to size to get the 12x1.5 dye to fit on it?
