You'll need that connector, it's not a big deal at all, it's actually a minor thing in the swap.
c101 is the e36 connector that adapts to the e30 harness?....can I cut out the m3 dash harness and exclude it?

Stupid mistake.. Again. Didn't hook up the relay power wire on the diagnostic port harness. Hooked it up, all the relays clicked, and fired right up.
Nice job getting it started!

Well I did my shift linkage today. the E36 5spd one is too short to use with the G240. I needed to shorten my 318 one to 7 7/8 inches to the inside of each pin. With the E36 5spd shift carrier the shifter sits a bit more to the right, I don't mind it but some might not like it. You could probably fix it by shortening the 318 carrier but I can't weld aluminum.
Driveshaft is going in tomorrow possibly, then the brakes should be solved sunday and hopefully I can take it for a nice rip.1985 325e 2.8 Turbo VEMS

I put the drive shaft in, took it for a drive. At first the clutch wouldn't work, I had to push it into gear but it wouldn't go in, then it would start moving and go into gear. So I bled it and it's better, I can put it in gear but it's noticeably dragging a bit. I'm going to try bleeding it a bit.1985 325e 2.8 Turbo VEMS
