takes too much time. really dont spend that much time around here anymore.

its not as easy as it looks. (see build thread.) but the results were very promising for a track car.

On a side note, just got an updated tune that was more comprehensive with the vanos movement. Mucho good. anxiously awaiting for the next track day. cheers, jason
    Thanks.

    Someday... Someday I will get to do a ground up restoration on an m3 and do a motor transplant like this... Someday.;

dan, give me a call. I have a stock cooler with the e30m3 hard lines. an-10 fittings brazed onto the hard lines and an-10 line up to the filter housing. I just put on an aftermarket cooler.

Jason what did you use for exhaust...I'm seeing a mid muffler and rear but curious as to make of both and pipe sizing throughout.

        That sound is amazing!

          abs working properly.

took it to gingerman this week. had a blast. finally got a feeling for the car. now i just need to fix the loose nut behind the steering wheel! track was very green......but that can be fun too. my buddy (in the black e30) laid rubber throughout the day. especially turn 3. put a grin on my face everytime!

Hey Jason, do you know the wait of the black e30?

Also what power is he making with the cams and the DTA?

Looks like a ton of fun, how much work was done to the firewall to get the engine moved back? Have you had it on scales yet?

both cars are about 2450 wet. cant remeber what type of power he was making. but he has TONS of low torque.

                          Dayam

                          2450....my E36 won't play with that!

But I'll have AC and be docile enough for use as a daily driver!

                          Jason, what a hoot......

Been banging on it for a couple of days on the street, doing some fine tuning.

We have to touch base and get squarely on the same page.....

                          Alex.

AWESOME!!!!!! Give me a ring, I will be around. The pedal on the right ssssuuuurrrreeeee is addictive..... isnt it. Love the feel of second gear as the tires lurch for grip and the motor twists it out from under them....... back end squirming around....quick third before the limiter at 8100...... after another second, you realize the speedometer has spun around and it clearly pegged at "jail time." hey, did i mention my gearing calculator said i was pushing 150mph into turn 1 at RA. imagine if i had a splitter or any aero!

Funny thing about going much past 150 for me....

As much fun as it is, when I hit the 160 number into 1 or 12 at RA, the pucker factor starts to get pretty severe...

That is with aero/splitter and brakes of course in the race car, and frankly with less motor than what is in the M-Technic now....price wise at least.
