S54 SMGII into an E30

Not to bag on the guy at all. But I give him a 10% chance of finishing the project. Why do I say that? Well - I'm in the middle of helping a friend with a m20 swap into a 2002. And let me tell you, just the coil ground, main relay, unload relay ect..can make you go crazy...there is no manual for it.

Some things "wire up" (aka bolt up) like the fule pump, and level sensor, BMw uses the same color codes on the wires, but no one tells you how to power the main relay....anyways...lots of multimeter probing...same with my m30 swap...

wish the guy luck - but at the end of the day, I don't know the dme will fire. and the cluster? my god man - that like putting the star trek entirprise dash board into a flindstone's car....

I completely disagree with you. I give him 100% chance of finishing it. Why? B/c if he can't finish it on his own, his parents can always just pay to have it finished.

No exhaust yet. He is waiting for the suspension. c&p from the thread:

Next step is coilovers...We'd have that done if interauto didn't drop the ball on our order...Now we have to source from some where else which results in a delay...

Then after that is to get bleed the brakes at the dealer...then towed to the muffler shop for a custom exhaust...It has open headers right now that is why it's so damn loud...
