Best tires for the stock iX basketweaves?

For all-season tires, the only options I seem to be able to find are a Kumho and a Dunlop (in 205/55R15). Do you run a different size tire on the stock rims? I'm new to tires and wheels, so please bear with me.

TBH, I say 17" (but not at stock height, sorry). The main reason is tires - 16" tire selection sucks balls.

Going to get some Konig Hypergrams 17x8 et45's. Should I run a 10 mm spacer to bring it to 35 or 15 to get it to 30. Going to run a 215/40 tire

Yeah that's right. It's been so long since I've run the stock size I'm always a bit hazy on the 60 or 55. 205/50/15 ftw. hah. My winters are the same 195/60 then as well.

Thanks, that helps! How hard is it to find steel rims for these cars?

BBS RX looks pretty good on the iX! 17" is bigger than i'd go though.

You want 195/65/15. OEM tire size is 205/60/15.

The best tire size calculator. Use our tire size calculator to find tire size specs and suggested tire sizes. Then check prices for all available tire sizes.

    skool a noob on tires

I'm wondering how much flexibility there is with tire sizes on a given rim. I've got an extra set of rims for an ix I bought a couple months ago and would like to put some snow tires on it. The guy said he used to have Blizzax on them, but I'm having a hard time finding snow tires that match the size of what's on the car now.

What I have is 205/55/15, so would it be reasonable to put a 195/55/15 on, or a 195/60/15. The 60 would be slightly larger in diameter, but I'm more concerned about the narrower width on the rim.

Any advice would be appreciated. The lake superior region on wisconsin can be icy! Thanks!
