Yup, that's the one! What is a "zinno"? My brother calls the car a unicorn. I looked for about a year before I found this one. All BMW service history until 20k miles ago. The guy I bought it from knew what he had, and I paid for it $5800 with 180k miles. Lots of restoration and trick bits tho. I have the M3 and a honda vfr for the summer months, so this car should last me many many years.

Is it true that the Miller PSIK doesn't fit an IX?

yes. the subframe gets in the way.

You can pick up a Myster-E performance head w/ some port and polish work, then pair it up with the Miller Maf + WAR Chip (the WAR chip is a chip that can be custom tuned via USB). Things like cams, valve work, etc, will all be an even bigger boost when properly tuned.

If your car is a 5 speed, it probably has the 3.91 differentials. You can upgrade them to the Automatic Diff's which are 4.1's.

I wouldn't do just a rear sway bar. It gets mixed reviews. Korman can still modify the front swaybar in a manner that makes it more stiff. This paired w/ a rear bar will do well.

Exhaust can be easily upgraded, but the E30 exhaust is already pretty efficient. You can pair it up with headers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but almost all of the standard E30 headers fit, they're just a whore to install thanks to the subframe.

a stock filter is going to be better than a K&N drop in. I did a dyno back to back with my stroker, basically zero difference. the K&N made a tiny bit more torque (like 1ft/lb), but the filtering is significantly worse.

the subframe doesn't get anywhere *near* the headers. I'd make sure whatever you get are ceramic coated though, as it will be close to the rubber boot on the passenger axle.

I wouldn't do a rear swaybar without doing something to the front. I disagree with putting in a huge sway on an ix only in the rear. The ix needs camber control up front to eliminate understeer without causing the bad side effects you'd get from just a rear bar (snap oversteer, and in some situations, even worse understeer). Eventually I'll get around to testing out the E46 front swaybar - I think it will work pretty well, but I haven't had time.

I was just messing around with my e46 sway before it started raining a few minutes ago...

The distance between the bushing pivot point and the pickup for the drop link is ~2" longer on the E46 swaybar, and I don't know of any bushings that will fit off the shelf. I'll probably cut or drill out a pair of old iX bushings to check fitment, then eventually modify some new oem or polyurethane iX bushings.

You are correct sir! He was asking $6,500, but I got him down to $5,800. I looked at so many that need thousands to be what I wanted, so at that price I was happy.

The car has almost new bilsteins and HR springs. I put a magnaflow rear muffler on it and it sounds great. It came with a UUC short shift kit and I put a zhp knob on it. I also put a chip in it and just bought this CAI http://www.signaturemotoring.com/

I'm done with mods, know just to keep up on maintenance which I'm a stickler about.

I finally installed my cold air intake from signature motors. With this really nice cai, a chip, and rear magnaflow I can say the car has gained some hps! Total spent around $425. Bring it winter!
