    Ive done it from the top :)
    E30 325ix M50 turbo 7 spd DCT 4wd 840awhp @ 31 psi.
    E30 M50 6 spd 764whp @ 24psi.
    E30 M20 6 spd 675whp.

              Hmm you guys make me unsure, i might have mixed it with a E36 i changed the shifter on? :crazy:
              I have to lift the boot on the IX tomorrow and check! Were talking about just the shifter right? Not the linkage or anything like that?

                i hope you're thinking of the e30iX! I'm mainly looking to change just the shifter bushing, tiny little piece that'll make my shifter stop feeling so slushy

                      What bushings/ parts would I need to remove the slop from my shifter and I can I do it from the top?

                      here is a write up I found, do you just need the rod, between parts 10-12?

                      By design E30 shifters are doomed to go sloppy over time because the materials that keep it tight are made out of things like rubber and hard plastic. Here is the no-bullshit way of getting that shifter tight again. You will need parts 6 and 13 from the dealer. Part 2 from a third
