10 years ago, you used to be able to find iX Baurs in Switzerland all the time. I looked at several before this one showed up. Only a few of them had a similar amount of options. I really wished I could have found one with A/C, but still I'm very satisfied with this one. :)

Take good care of that car!
An A/C retrofit is absolutely no problem on an E30. Just takes patience.
What I want to know is where your ski bag went lol. It's right there - option 464!I BUY/SELL REFURBISHED CM5907s & CM5908s

post this up in the ix section, maybe with pictures of your restoration.
Always loved Baurs. When I was a kid, I had a Baur E30 matchbox car that was one of my favorites. Still have it actually. Didn't even know what a BMW was back then. :pComment

Yea, my inlaws loved being picked up from skiing with the top down. A great car for the mountains, but I doubt it's going to see snow any more.1974 2002L

yeah, it's too bad, but better to save the punishment of rocks and salt for a modern throwaway car. My E30 stays parked in the garage during the winter for the same reasons.
I can move it if the OP wants me to.Comment

Yea, the Baurs are much stiffer than the verts, but I think you made the right decision to go with a closed car.
I'm always amazed at the turbo cars that come out of Sweden. There was one at the Bavaria Tour a few years ago which was 2002 Bi Turbo also making something like 700hp. A truly amazing build.1974 2002L
