    Color change

    Hey y’all,
hoping I can get some advice. I bought this red e30 with the intent of changing the color to Alpine white, but I’m torn with also wanting to preserve the cars integrity. I’ve been I was quoted $4500 for the body+paint for the zinnoberrot red and $5k if I wanted it white. What do you all suggest? Thanks!

Seems like a good price for a colour change.
Assuming they are not doing the jambs and engine bay for that price?

5k seems too cheap, and anywhere if flakes itll look like garbage in a few years.

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

what is the definition of color change?

unless the entire thing is stripped down and every piece of white is painted red it will always be shit. Cause you'll undo bolts and youll see white, lift carpet in the boot and youll see white.

In my oppinion a half assed colour change severely devalues a car. especially if the engine bay isn't done, gawd that looks tacky.

Everyone has their own level of acceptable. Plenty of wrap jobs out there without the jambs and engine bay done up.

When I had my E30 painted a different colour, I went into pretty close detail with an engine-out respray.
But I left the trunk floor the original colour, because it's not seen (and will likely be covered in sound deadening eventually to match the interior).
