Okay I'm sorry that was a bit rude on my part. I'm interested in seeing the finished product though.

Rattle can can look decent, and even if you know how to lay paint. This is just Duplicolor primer. I did this maybe a year ago, still looks ok when clean, though it gas faded a little.

Not bad for a total cost of ~$50. Would real automotive grade paint look better, heck yeah, at a much higher cost. Once the body/major mechanical work is done it will het a "real" paint job, until then this is fine.

Spare yourself the time and money: I sanded my mirrors with 400 grit and used spray Plasti-dip in May 2011. They look like complete shit as of May 2012. Plasti-dip does horrible in full sun exposure and yields at the slightest contact.

I'm dipping my car because I want to do something different, I have a booth that I paint out of and have paint. I would rather dip my car now so I can focus on putting my turbo and megasquirt in. When that's all done and I feel like it I will really spray it. I'm doing it one day this week, I'll post pics of the after math!

                        My review w/ plastidip.

Sprayed my grills because they were sun faded, and did a couple coats. The grills came out better, but wasn't totally content. Plus, since its textured little fuzzies and such get stuck on it.

I tried it again on my mirror, and did about 3 coats. Let it cure overnight. The next day or two, I saw a flapping on my mirror. One layer had peeled off from the wind. Also, it was hard to get a dark even coat (possibly because the can had <50% left, so the less it has the worse the spray pattern.).

Im not too content w/ plastidip, if I really start to care about restoring stuff I will just use sem trim. Sem chips, but atleast it stays black.

I doubt it'll last too long. Wheels can get pretty hot, but i've seen people do it. Give it a shot and see what happens.
