yea mine was beat also, too cracked to keep. That's why I suggested a carbon fiber one.

I like the diffuser idea with the valence.

So a couple of updates, we're still waiting on the vacuum bagging stuff to come in. Taking a little longer then expected.

Also, we had to think of another idea for molding the OE sunroof since the fiberglass didn't want to stick on the side edges of the panel.

I'll get more pics this week.

Ok, forgive us for the hype we may have started. This is our first venture into carbon fiber. Things haven't been going our way lately and we're back to the drawing board. The vacuum for the bagging wasn't very strong and didn't suck down before the resin dried, so it had a lot of air pockets.

We're going to try a few more tests and make sure we get this 100% before we go any further.

BUT, in the mean time...Cody has a lot of experience with fiber glass, he's made a few custom enclosures for sound systems and even the mold for the diffuser is fiberglass.

With that said, we're making my sunroof and the diffuser for his car in fiberglass 1st just so we can show that we are dedicated to making something work. Who else would be interested in fiberglass parts?

So I wasn't trying to post something till we had a finished product, we've been busy lately but this is where we are at with Cody's fiberglass diffuser. Sunroof is next, I was going to make a functional one for my car, but my sunroof rail broke on me last week so I'm thinking I'm just going to do a plug.

Just a tad more sanding and paint to go!

Mocked up before trimming and sanding the edges

I'm starting a new thread actually...we're going to do some more experimenting with CF techniques. Until we perfect it, we're going to stick with fiberglass.
