    do the covers snap on or is it trim taped on? Imma get some soon.

    I couldn't find any back to black so I sprayed the grill with black plastic texutred paint and it held up great I even did the lower front valence too. so you gus with chipping issues can try that.

        the ones from abrahams just go on over the existing chrome trim with double sided tape. havent put them on yet but it seems like it should work ok.

                    i did shadow grilles on my brothers e46 and used dupli-color high temp paint, the 1200 degree one. they came out pretty good, i just sanded the chrome, washed with degreaser and primed and painted, oh yeah and also followed up with a clearcoat. the only mistake i made was getting too anxious and putting them in while the clearcoat was still soft, so my fingerprint is in one of them now. im doing my grilles this weekend ill take some pics.
