And also apparantly no technical know how whatsoever. Do you call someone to change your tire when you get a flat too?BloodLine wrote:

Thats gay as hell, I installed mine in 15 minutes.
James, have you seen one? They have 2 holes for screws on the top near the reverse lights.
I popped the plastic things that the plate mounts to off, then lined up the filler and drilled 2 holes on the top only.
Then I used flat-headed stainless steel hardware and lock nuts to secure it, looks pretty good.

But just clarify what you did. The 'plastic things you popped off' are the white license plate mounts, right? And then you lined up the top screws and drilled through the plate. Or have I misunderstood?
Did you do anything will the hole near the reverse light, they don't seem to line up with anything.

here's a picture of mine:
I used the stock holes on the car to mount the plate, opting to drill through the filler peice rather than the car. I'm using screws with the little plastic nubs on the inside of the trunk, nuts and bolts on the inside would be a better choice but it hasn't fallen off yet so I'm not too worried. :)
edit: just for reference, here is a pic without:
it looks very empty and unfinished wihtout. :)Comment

Yes, Ive seen Eric Lukas's. Never really examined it very closely though. I just figured since you guys are having to drill holes and such, they must be secured differently on stock european cars... other than the plate attaching screws being in obviously different places.Originally posted by DigitalwaveThats gay as hell, I installed mine in 15 minutes.

Was doing it this afternoon, and had a digital camera with me......
Tools: Hammer, Sharpie, Drill, Washer, Bolts, Nuts

Hammer out those stupid white thingys......

Supplies.....forgot washers......ran to store quick to spend another $.66

Hold filler up to hole. Center and mark the holes' spots on the filler from the inside of the trunk....DRILL!

I started with a small drill bit, then moved up, easier that way.

Put on drilled filler, put bolts through, tightened down nut ontop of washer.....simple
what kind of a slacker pays someone to do this?!?

I will paint my filler later, it is a lil faded. Same with spoiler, trim, and lower valence.Comment
