Morimoto Bulbs FTW

I put my DDM bulbs where they belong, in the trash. Upgraded to a set of 4300k Morimoto 3Five bulbs over the weekend, and WOW what a difference. It is, without a doubt, the best $40 I could have spent on my car.

Anyone out there who isn't content with their light output should upgrade their bulbs.

Where did you get the bulbs retrofitsource or somewhere else?? 35w or 55w? did the plugs matched or you had to cut and soder DDM ones to the Morimoto?

Yeah, DDM bulbs are total shit. I made the switch to 35W 4300K Morimoto ones about a year ago and it was definitely the right choice. Whiter, brighter and still white after 12 months.

When I saw morimoto bulbs on eBay, they looked exactly like the ddm ones right down to the connectors. Are u guys sure they are not the same and it isn't a placebo?

their quit different. Their also known as the next best to OEM. It is quality by far.

HID bulbs use the same connectors usually, regardless of brand. and they're both the same fitment (probably H1), so naturally they will look the same.

Is there anyway to identify the Morimoto bulbs?

Just buy them from TRS so you know you'll be getting the real deal and good customer service to boot.

I have Moritmoto H1 Elite kit and three sets of DDM tuning.


HUUUUUUGE difference.

I have 4300K Moritmoto with the 50w Morimoto ballasts and i blows DDM tuning out of the water. I have a thread in the lighting forum you should see.

Get the complete elite kit for 150 including bulbs and you'll be happier.

The Morimoto Elite Kit is the way to go.

I wouldn't bother with DDM tuning anymore.

The Morimoto Ballasts + the 4300 lights almost look pure white. The best money I spent on my E30 so far.
