Create your own thread then. Like mildly intelligent person would do. Not enter a tread on headlight lenses with an exhaust question. there is a section for your question. But I see entitled children feel they can shit where they want.

Way to contribute nothing but several worthless posts to a thread that should have already been closed. Unless you are willing to do extensive work, and the research that goes along with it, nothing on your e46 will fit on your e30 other than in the trunk.Members on here always have new information regarding previously asked questions. If you feel like I'm wasting ur time don't reply period. This is a general discussion area and any info should t be taken to heart. Sorry but ur 2012 join date doesn't intimidate me :-) but thanks for ur concern.sigpic

I hate bumping this thread because of JW, but I just bought these to try them out, I have one cracked lens and one is pretty fogged over. When I get them I will take pics and post results.Comment

Fog lenses from Russia
WOW! What just happened. To answer the OPs question, yes I have used these lenses. Installed them just a few weeks ago. I used a set of pliers to remove the old glass and a pick to remove the old sealant from the housing. Cleaned the inside of the housing really well. Applied a thick bead of good quality black silicone sealant to the housing and held the new lenses in place with painters masking tape until the silicone cured. Used the same sealant to attach the outter rubber gasket. Finished with lamin x. They look brand new. Its a bit of work but it beats the price of new ZKWs and it def beats the junk plastic aftermarket ones on eBay. If I could do one thing differently, i would have put a heavier bead of sealant on the housing the first time. Don't worry about going too heavy with the sealant, because the rubber gasket on the outer edge of the lens will cover any excess. Super happy with the results.
BTW, shipping took a little while and was almost as much as the lenses. Still only cost about 50 bucks plus an 8 dollar tube of sealant. Hope this helps.Comment

I ended up buying plastic ones over glass.. Only because ive heard the glass ones break pretty easy. Yes you can buy laminx for over the top but that's just as much as the lenses. Starts pushing the price up. The decent stuff is as much as another set of lenses.
Main thing that put me off the seller was they were asking 40 dollars US for delivery that takes a month, so clearly trying to profit off the shipping as well. That gives me the shits. Few of the seller reviews are negative as well saying the lenses were shit quality. Quite often the same seller just opens a new ebay account because of their crap ratings. The fact they all come out of Russia seems to confirm this
For the money I will trial the plastic ones, see how they go. Car wont see much road time anyway
To the guys breaking their glass to get it out - much easier putting the lamps in the oven at 150deg c for 5-10 minutes and slowly lifting the glass off.Boris - 89 E30 325i

I'm not going to argue with your decision to choose plastic, but read my post about the glass ones. I have no regrets with them. Also, the guy I bought from in Russia was super cool and offered to ship a second pair for free when the post office "lost" them. I ended up having to go to several offices to find them and get them before they were returned to Russia.Main thing that put me off the seller was they were asking 40 dollars US for delivery that takes a month, so clearly trying to profit off the shipping as well. As for costs, $20 for the glass is dirt cheap. $30 for international shipping is completely reasonable for the package size and weight, especially because of how well packed they were. Like I said, I'm happy.sigpic
