        I've put a camera flash from a disposable camera into a brake light before. They aren't that bright thru the red lens, it isn't that exciting. Those LED brake lights are actually brighter, this was just to try and snap attention to the fact that I hit the brakes.

        This was on a sportbike. All you need is a few resistors to drop the 12v down for the AA battery feed, and a relay to click on when the brake light goes on. The unit charges while cruising, and you get a lil flash when you first tap the brakes on.
        The resistors I used were weak enough for it to take a minute or so to charge, so it wouldn't really annoy people in traffic flashing all the time, just when you first stop after moving for a while.

        I REALLY didn't want to get rear-ended. and I didn't.
