Fuck...I'm all corn-fused, I cant figure it out. Although i did take off my white base(e36) switches and wire them to the rears, just as i did the fronts and they worked! I think the blues might just be bad. If anyone has white base e36 switches let me know. Thanks.

just use a multimeter and follow thew pin numbers. if you can take any e30, e28 ect...... window switch and plug it in, then the pin layouts are ALL the same.

wow that looks like some good info, now if only i knew how to read it easier. Guess I need to print it out, and take a close look. Thanks Jean.

I have no idea if/how IX wiring in terms of power windows is different (doesn't make sense to me that it would, but wouldn't surprise me if it is) but I would browse through the wiring schematics and see if they are in fact the same between the IX and another model/car.

Thats what i thought, and I did, but I just keep blowing fuses I tried the other switch i had and it didnt work either. If the switch was faulty, would it blow a fuse like this?

Here is what my switch harness' look like. The front is black the rear is white. The e30 switch is placed next to the harness as it sits on them.
as you can see it is different from what you guys have. For example I dont have a purple wire. Never the less i tried to match up the socket locations regardless of wire color. That didnt work.

Yea I got that, but like i said my wires are different colors for the rear switches. So i copied the socket locations from front to back, and I blow fuses. Besides the above is different than what you put on page 12

For the rear windows I had to go with the blue base switches.

Here's the problem: the rear e30 harness' are a little different. They have a different colored wires coming out of the base, but the socket/pin numbers are the same as the front so i didnt think it would be an issue. I used this to wire them up:

    e36 e30 wire F e30 wire R e30 socket
    PIN 1 = BROWN 1 = brown 4
    PIN 3 = PURPLE = black/yel 8
    PIN 4 = BLACK = blue/gre 1
    PIN 5 = GREEN / GRAY = green/gra 3
    PIN 6 = BROWN 2= brown 5

All that happens is that I blow a fuse. I have tried switchin the browns as well. Any help here? Thanks
