Re-built and installed a turbo "stroker" and using MS2E on a 3.57 board. I'm in FL and I am in my mid 50's... so I need A/C. Went out last weekend with my wife and parked to have lunch and came back.... and it seemed like the IAC wasn't responding cause I couldn't keep the A/C going without stalling. I bought a Mercedes IAC off of amazon... came in today... 27$... plugged right in... used the setting to test the IAC manually... other than a few slight tweaks in the IAC closed and open range... worked just like my older IAC. Tested it for a couple hours in the garage... Went out with my wife... had an audience while I was taking pics by the gulf of Mexico.... hopped back in.... and she wouldn't start. Tried numerous times... Sat for about 10 mins... cranked and she started... so I got her home.... shut her off in the garage.... tried to start her and she wouldn't start again... this time I kicked on data logging... tried to crank and she would not start.... looked at the data log and could not see any issues from my perspective.... PWM % was where I normally start at about 180... no warm up enrichment... no timing advance... but no go.... let her sit for 10 mins and boom... she started. I relocated the IAC from the original position back to the drivers side firewall, Can an IAC get heat soaked?
Is it better to have less of an opened IAC when the engine is warm / hot... or do wen need more... maybe its my IAC coolant temp settings.
If there is any docs / info / videos that might help please let me know. Been looking at a bunch of You Tube stuff to no avail....
Thanks in advance.
