you cant really hide a turbo... intercoolers and weird cone filters come with and are enough to get you a ref ticket.

Rear mount turbo setup is the closest thing I could think of.

could bottom mount a baby turbo and shroud it.

just do a really clean install, then call it factory. run it through an airbox. most cops aren't going to know what was under the hood of a 20yr old bmw, let alone if it was turbocharged or not.

would love to hear more about this law. It seems wierd to me that most of the big tuners are there in Cali as opposed to hear in Florida where we have no emmission standards and 3 world reknowned race tracks for testing within a few hours of eachother (furthest one being 3 hours from me)

its like the Thunderbolt movie, Jackie Chan will kick your ass if he finds a turbo.

Unless it's CARB certified. I don't think most cops are suspicious of a 20 year old BMW "yuppie" car to begin with unless you make it obvious you're modded. They mostly go after Honda's and such because they tend to have the most illegal mods and engine swaps.

thats the problem there are not carb certified turbos for e30's, but i still want to do more performance to my engine wither it is an engine swap or turbo

Yes, they don't really seem to look for trouble with an old car that most don't even know what kind of enigne configurations were available.
