I've slightly modified the throttle arm and plumbed up the crankcase vent tube. Next I've got to build an adapter for the m50 TPS out of an old m20 TPS I had. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Gulp.Originally posted by Andy.BWhenever I am about to make a particularly questionable decision regarding a worryingly cheap diy solution, I just ask myself, "What would Ether-D do?"

I wish. It's likely not gonna be up and running til late March. There's just no way it'll be done in two weeks. But 6 weeks? Maybe.Originally posted by Andy.BWhenever I am about to make a particularly questionable decision regarding a worryingly cheap diy solution, I just ask myself, "What would Ether-D do?"

Can this IAT sensor work with ms2? I like the low profile mounting and it's cheaper than a mug.

Whodwho says it very well could work. So it's on the way to me. For $7.00 shipped, I can hardly lose.Originally posted by Andy.BWhenever I am about to make a particularly questionable decision regarding a worryingly cheap diy solution, I just ask myself, "What would Ether-D do?"

After all, that's where the belt loads are being exterted.
That is where the loads are, but now that the blower is braced top and bottom, and the twisting force is addressed, the leftover force is only tension straight down which, I believe, is pretty much under control.
If I can whip up something for the front without getting too tight in there, I'll do it.
Also, today I made the executive decision to use the, (gulp), Ford throttle body. It has the idle control and TPS built-in already and I think I can tell the MS2 how to listen to and control them. And it's clean looking. It hurts me a little knowing there's ford parts in my car though.Last edited by Ether-D; 02-16-2014, 11:15 AM.Originally posted by Andy.BWhenever I am about to make a particularly questionable decision regarding a worryingly cheap diy solution, I just ask myself, "What would Ether-D do?"

So the heat exchanger in the intake manifold was put in for the idea of lowering the intake manifold temperatures? I cant see that working very well, it may help a bit when the engine hasn't run for long but I think it will heat soak easily and then become a restriction. That said methanol on a setup like this may help to a huge degree.

It will have fresh cool fluid being pumped through it constantly. It's gonna be pretty effective.Originally posted by Andy.BWhenever I am about to make a particularly questionable decision regarding a worryingly cheap diy solution, I just ask myself, "What would Ether-D do?"
