Hey guys, the setup has the blower before the throttle body so that you can choose the mount a front mount intercooler. The recirculation valve makes this possible. It's not terribly loud like a blowoff valve but you can hear it at wot. The TB being before the roots blower essentially creates an enormous intake manifold if you are using a front mounted intercooler because there will be vacuum in the charge pipes, which was very ineffective due to the couplers sucking in on themselves. Believe me, I've run through a few variations of this kit, and this setup by far is the best for drivability and power. I'm at work currently and will respond tonight in more detail when I'm at a computer.

Interesting. I'm interested in this, but would you detail for me how your bypass valve works?Comment

How's it goin?

We just bought a 3D Printer. The snow is melting. Stay tuned.Comment

So, from the diagram, why is TB after SC better for high boost? I can't figure it out.Originally posted by Andy.BWhenever I am about to make a particularly questionable decision regarding a worryingly cheap diy solution, I just ask myself, "What would Ether-D do?"Comment

Great visual aid by the way! ;)Last edited by Syncro325is; 02-28-2014, 05:30 PM.sigpicComment

I think it is from a jaguar website so take it with some salt, but it is a nice picture.
I had a turbo blowing onto my throttle body before so I don't know why a supercharger that literally turns itself off on vacume or boost would be any worse?
The built in actuator opens on vacume correct? So when you close a throttle body infront of the compressor, the resulting vacume opens the bypass so it stops pumping?
As long as that actuator is sourcing vac/boost from the intake manifold it would seem like this would still happen normally, and still cut the compressor off when you close the throttle. A BOV/bypass in front of the tb is double insurence to keep pressure in the charge pipes below 15psi at all times.Comment

I like that there are dueling m20 supercharger threads going on. May the best set up win!!! (or both - each one might have a thing of their own)Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?Comment

In other news the new lc2 wideband is installed and communicating correctly with the megasquirt setup, so we have an appointment with the dyno this saturday. We will be running the lower boost pulley that we will are offering with the kit first and then swapping over to the pulley that I run on the car normally. Will report back with some dyno numbers so long as everything goes well!sigpicComment

any speculation on when this kit will be available?sigpic

Well we got on the dyno the other day. I ran the car without the charger and then with the charger on low boost and made about a 20 percent power gain at the wheels on a fresh head with a block that has 230k miles on it. A little more refining and I'd say we have a ready product! We are waiting on a dual extrusion head for our 3d printer so we can start testing the model I designed for the intake pipe to the supercharger. Printing will let us get precise fitment while allowing us to keep the interior of the pipe smooth.Last edited by Syncro325is; 03-10-2014, 06:38 PM.sigpicComment
