Went to lowes got some rubber plugs. Fit quite nice. Plugged the intake boot & manifold got my idle down to around 1000-1200rpm.

Did a valve adjustment this morning before I started working on it. Did a .07 on the intake side pulls consistently till redline.

Cut down on hesitation quite a bit, but still hesitates when it's hot out.

I think the hesitation may be an ignition issue. My cap has chunks missing from the contacts. Going to try new wires plugs cap & rotor

I recently dropped all mine form .010 to .008 and it made a world of difference. What did you set the exhausts to ?

The specs I got for valve adjustments is .008 for intake and .010 for exhaust. Seems to work just fine for me. Mixed with a little timing advance from the dizzy, pulls good enough for a decent daily

My exhaust is at .010. Had intake set at .010 before I did .007.

What r the three relays in the small black box next to the airbox? The tall relay in the center clicks like crazy when hot. Think it might by a fuel pump relay

If that relay is always clicking, sounds like you may have a ground issue. Double check the ground on your intake manifold. Mine was loose and I had all sorts of issues related to my fuel pumps and relays after I put my engine back together. And yes, those 3 relays are Fuel Pump, Master Relay, and I don't know what the little 3rd one is

Ok so checked intake ground next to fuel rail where icv used to be. It's snug. Even cleaned both grounds & intake surface with sand paper for a better connection.

Weird thing though was that both pump relays were clicking like crazy when car was off & grounds dissconnected. When I reconnected the ground relays started clicking even faster.

I cleaned the contacts & connectors for relays also & seemed to work for the moment, but still unsure because relays click sporadically spontaneously.

I took a vid il post up later when I get home

Why don't you actually start troubleshooting it? No one can do so from a computer. Pull the relay cover off at least and see which relays are clicking. When you find that find your issue with the ground.
