    885 head valves and rockers

I had issues on my m20b25 on my 89 325 convertible. Also it was automatic, so I bought a 1988 super eta 325 for the manual swap.

After some readings I choosed to go the 2.7i stroker with the super eta base and the vert head. During the process I discovered that the problem with the vert engine was cause by the timing strap wich broke. After opening the head pretty much all the exhaust valves are scrap and a rocker is broken.

The question is, are the rockers and valves the same on the m20b25 and the m20b27 super eta.

    Thanks

The valves and rockers are the same as long as it's a true super eta. But the springs and cam are different.

These guys offer some upgrades if you are a "while I'm in there" guy. You buy a complete head are all the bits for internals if you like. From mild to wild.

The seta used an 885 head, just like the b25. The b25 has a better cam and added inner valve springs. The seta manifold is crap, use the b25 stuff.

Yes, the rockers and valves are the same between 325i and 88 325 Super ETA.
